Microcement, one of the world's trending decorating materials, is a coating that consists of a high-performance cement-based material in which polymers, ultra-fine aggregates, additives and natural color pigments matching the desired shade of the finish are subsequently added.
The result of this process is a material that has an extraordinary adhesion to almost every surface.
It is commonly used to cover concrete, mortar, tiles, plaster, cement, metal, stoneware, plasterboard or plastic, and many other surfaces. Its superb finish, texture and versatility has made it one of the preferred materials for architects and interior designers, as it can be perfectly adapted to the needs of each project.
In addition, since it is not required to remove the existing coating for its application, it saves time and a large part of the work costs. The important element is that the surface to be worked on must be firm and well fixed.
What type of maintenance does Microcemento® require?
In order to keep Microcemento® in perfect condition, it should be cleaned regularly with water and neutral soap. Depending on the type of surface, it is possible to maintain it with specific, professional products, thus guaranteeing greater functional and aesthetic durability (for example, for floors in high-traffic areas). Do not hesitate to contact us for more details.
What is the difference between the microcement and the smoothed cement?
The structural weight of microcement is much lower than that of polished cement: While Microcemento® has a low thickness coating to (approximately 2 to 3 millimeters), the polished cement has a thickness of 5 to 7 centimeters.
Polished cement requires expansion joints: Microcemento® does not.
Microcement's application is not limited to floors only: As its name indicates,It can be placed both vertically and horizontally without any problem.
Less work, less cost, less time:
El sistema de aplicación del microcemento es más fácil y rápido y no necesita maquinaria ni herramientas pesadas. No requiere retirar el material existente, no genera escombros, no necesita permiso de obra.
