Microcement is an excellent option to apply to a radiant floor. Because it is a continuous material that has good thermal conductivity and is resistant to heat, which prevents cracks on its surface.

HOW TO APPLY MICROCEMENT ON UNDERFLOOR HEATING
It is worth noting that the application of microcement in underfloor heating must be applied by a professional in order to avoid any type of problem that could arise.
The first thing to do is to heat the floor by heating continuously for a month. It is important that we turn off the heating 48 hours before the application, taking meticulous care that the temperature of the floor does not exceed 18ºC in order to avoid possible cracks.
Then a layer of cement mortar should be applied, which should take approximately 4 weeks to set depending on the humidity present in the environment, the humidity of the cement cannot be greater than 5%. The cement mortar serves as a binder for a better adhesion of the microcement.
It is important to wait 48 hours for the microcement to be applied correctly before turning on the heating. In order to avoid fissures or cracks on its surface due to temperature change
The ignition of the heating must be controlled. taking special care to raise the temperature only 5ºC daily
The temperature changes in the heating must be staggered from the beginning to the end of its use. Thus avoiding sudden changes in temperature.
We must be careful that the humidity is not too low and we must avoid the accumulation of heat as a result of the use of carpets or furniture that do not have much separation from the ground.
Advantages of applying microcement on radiant floor heating

Microcement has an efficient absorption, retention and distribution of heat which translates into low energy consumption. This implies a considerable saving of money in the long term.
