Microcement offers a unique style that cannot be easily replicated. It provides an effect similar to cement, but because it offers endless applications for interior design, more and more homes are turning to micro cement to create impressive decorative finishes.

Not only is the material durable, it provides a contemporary style that greatly enhances the aesthetics of virtually any room, though it is primarily used in living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. It can be used for floors and walls, and is also a popular choice for work surfaces.

Do you want to introduce a micro cement floor in your house? Here are some tips and tricks to help you match your home’s color scheme with the ideal microcement floor.

Color schemes combined with micro cement floors

While micro cement is available in a number of colors, it tends to be used in natural gray tones, usually the light gray found in standard cement. In fact, to really achieve that unique industrial look that micro cement offers, it’s best to keep that shade of gray.

So what color combinations work well with a micro cement floor? There are quite a few options, which means it often comes down to personal preferences and things like lighting, furniture, and the size and shape of the room.

Tonal contrasts are usually a good place to start, especially with light gray floors. Adding much darker blacks or grays produces a wonderful contrast that remains within the industrial aesthetic.

Black walls with gray floors offer quite extreme contrast, so it’s a good idea to use lighter shades of gray or even white on most walls, using smaller doses of black to help bring out certain design features.

Since a black, white, and gray color palette is a great color scheme to achieve that industrial look, don’t be afraid to experiment with various hues, shades, and hues while complementing the decor with furniture or natural woods.

Another great color scheme to use with micro cement floors are neutral color schemes. Dark neutrals offer subtle doses of color, while lighter neutrals can help create a more spacious and airy feel in small spaces, so be sure to consider room size and lighting in this regard.

If you prefer a cool and relaxing environment, consider combining the floor with soft pastel tones. Shades of mint, blue-gray, and pastel pink are good choices, especially when paired with neutral schemes.
